Civic Society’s Front Garden / Hanging Basket
 / Window Box Competition

Congratulations to
THE WINNERS

The Albrighton & District Civic Society usually ran this competition as
our contribution to the annual Flower Show events.
As there was no flower show last year or this year the Civic Society has run the competition as a standalone event.

This year the competition was to find the best presented front garden with flower beds, trees & shrubs OR a window box OR a hanging basket/container OR a combination of any of these.  One of these three winners would also be chosen as the best overall winner and awarded the Bulmer Cup.

The entrant garden/frontage was to be visible to the passing public.     

The Civic Society’s aim was to encourage well tended gardens and frontages throughout the villages of Albrighton, Boningale, Donington-with-Boscobel and Tong.

WINNER OF THE BEST FRONT GARDEN AND OVERALL WINNER AND THIS YEARS HOLDER OF THE BULMER CUP IS:-
Dipika Price, The Old Farmhouse, Boningale

 

WINNER OF THE BEST HANGING BASKET IS:-
Patricia Allmark, 7 Barclay Close, Albrighton         

 

WINNER OF THE BEST WINDOW BOX IS:-
Valerie Jones, 12 Barrington Close, Albrighton

 

Runners up have been awarded Certificates of Distinction and others were awarded Certificates of Merit

Judging was by John Bulmer & his team. The award of Certificates and the Bulmer Cup for Best Overall Entry will be made at the Civic Society public meeting on 10th October 2016 at the Red House.

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO ENTERED AND WHOSE GARDENS OR BASKETS OR WINDOW BOXES HAVE GIVEN PASSERS BY A VISUAL TREAT AND MADE OUR VILLAGES EVEN BETTER PLACES TO LIVE
